Pražská kapela Rí Ra hrající keltskou folkovou hudbu se na české hudební scéně pohybuje již více než 15 let. Má ve svém repertoáru písně v angličtině, bretonštině, irské a skotské gaelštině, a instrumentální skladby ostrovního folku – jigy a reely. Hudebníci vytvářejí zajímavé harmonie a inspirují se melodiemi ze Skotska a Irska, přičemž svůj zvuk obohacují o slapping baskytary a jazzová kytarová sóla. Dále využívají flétnu, irské whistly, housle a bicí. (Kapela vystupovala např. na festivalu Fleadh v Irsku, v belgickém Music Village a na mnoha mezinárodních festivalech v České republice, jako jsou Skotské hry na Sychrově, Lughnasad v Nasavrkách, Keltská noc v Plumlově, Prázdniny v Telči.)

V roce 2025 se Rí Ra stala jedním ze čtyř finalistů European Celtic Contest pořádané v rámci festivalu Montelago Celtic Festival, kam byla vybrána z více než 50 kapel z celého světa. V srpnu se těšíme na světová pódia!

The Prague-based band Rí Ra has been a vibrant part of the Czech music scene for over 15 years, becoming one of the country’s leading representatives of Celtic folk. Their repertoire features songs in English, Breton, Irish, and Scottish Gaelic, along with instrumental pieces from traditional Celtic music – jigs and reels. Rí Ra’s sound is characterized by rich harmonies and inspiration drawn from the melodies of Scotland and Ireland. Their music is uniquely enriched with slapping bass guitar, jazz guitar solos, and traditional instruments such as the flute, Irish whistles, violin, and drums. The band regularly performs at both domestic and international festivals. Notable appearances include Fleadh Festival in Ireland, a concert at Music Village in Belgium, and Czech festivals such as the Scottish Games at Sychrov Castle, Lughnasad in Nasavrky, Celtic Night in Plumlov and Holidays in Telč.

In 2025, Rí Ra was selected as one of four finalists of the European Celtic Contest, a prestigious competition held as part of the Montelago Celtic Festival in Italy. Chosen from over 50 bands from around the world, Rí Ra is now looking forward to taking on the global stage this August!
